Merchant Bank to Collaborate with Wharton Business School, Pennsylvania

Merchant Bank is positioning itself to become a key player in the financial service industry in Ghana. Alberta Quarcoopome, Manager, Learning and Development made this remark when the bank interacted with a team from Wharton University of Pennsylvania Business School in Accra.

She said the purpose of the novel engagement was to offer the staff of the bank opportunity to explore possibilities of building their professional capacities through a world renowned MBA programme at Wharton Business School. She added that Merchant Bank prides itself with a pool of young talented professional and as such developing individual and organizational capacities is one of the strategic directions of the bank.
Wharton University is one of the prestigious MBA schools in the United States which offers programmes in Accounting, Strategic Management, Marketing, Human Resource among others. Ms Tiffany Gooden, the Associate Director in-charge of admissions at Wharton University urged the staff of the bank to see investment in education as a way of positioning themselves for the global market. She said Education is key and staff must strive to add value to their professional lives and impact their worlds.
